1. Malware - Malware, short for malicious software, is an umbrella term used to refer to a variety of forms of hostile or intrusive software, including computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, and Adware.


Types Of Malware

* Virus - A malicious program designed to replicate itself and transfer one computer to another through internet flash drive and Cd's. 

*Trojan - A malicious software that disguised as useful program but once downloaded or installed, leaves your PC unprotected and allow hackers to get your information.

*Worm - malware computer program that replicates itself in order to spread to other computers. Often, it uses a computer network to spread itself, relying on security failures on the target computer to access it.


*Spyware -  is a type of malware that is installed on a computer without the knowledge of the owner in order to collect the owner's private information. Spyware is often hidden from the user in order to gather information about internet interaction, keystrokes (also known as keylogging), passwords, and other valuable data.



*Adware -  is frequently used to describe a form of malware,  which presents unwanted advertisements to the user of a computer. The advertisements produced by adware are sometimes in the form of a pop-up or sometimes in an "unclosable window".



2.Spam - Unwanted email mostly from advertisers. It can be used to send malware.

3. Phishing - It goals to acquire sensitive personal information like password and credit cards.
